PSY 605 Lifespan Development

Carl Rogers once said "a person's ability to listen to others is limited by the ability to listen to one's self." 

If we don't take the time as clinicians to understand who we are and how we might affect the patient both positively and negatively, we are failing to provide the quality therapy the client deserves.   This course provides an overview of the developmental issues occurring throughout the lifespan, in the context of issues faced in psychotherapy.  I hope that you utilize the material for increased awareness of the dynamics within yourself and your future clients.

 FINAL EXAM UPDATE:  To accommodate your oral presentations, which are a  valuable experience in this course, I am administering a Take Home Final Exam.   You can access the exam via email which will be sent to you with an attachment.  You have until MIDNIGHT, SUNDAY, SEPTMEBER 29th, to return the completed exam.
