On your initial visit to Dr. Paltin, you can expect to fill out some informational forms, including general contact information, insurance billing information if you will be using a third party for payment, and a questionaire concerning your reason for seeking treatment as well as your personal history. This information is confidential, and will assist Dr. Paltin in providing you with the best informed possible treatment for your specific problem.
Every therapist is different, and there are many forms of therapy. Making the decision to come to therapy can be a lengthy process. Many people contemplate whether to see a therapist for months or even years before they actually pick up the phone and make an appointment. Because this is a difficult and personal decision, Dr. Paltin strives to make it a comfortable and pleasant experience. Locate the corner of Maple and Orange, and you will find our parking lot and entrance, a single white door.

INSURANCE BILLING: Dr. Paltin does accept many insurances, however, it is up to you to determine if Dr. Paltin is a provider for your particular benefit plan prior to your first appointment. You are also responsible for obtaining any pre-authorization for services necessary. Contact your insurance provider to inquire what is needed prior to your first visit, as well as whether you have an annual deductible which must be met, and what, if any your co-pay will be. You are responsible for all fees not paid for by your insurance provider. Dr. Paltin accepts Mastercard, Visa, cash and personal checks. Electronic payment via debit and credit as well as FSA is available as well.

I uphold the confidentiality and boundaries of my work with all clients as part of my ethical and legal obligations. Because of this, I do not accept friend requests from my current or former clients. Adding clients as friends can compromise confidentiality and blur the boundaries of our therapeutic relationship. This may interfere with my ability to provide you with the most safe and trusting psychotherapy services. If you have any questions concerning this policy, feel free to ask.
